tap: Dancers must wear a tight-fitting shirt or leotard, tight fitting pants or shorts, and black tap shoes. Patent leather tap shoes are allowed in Combo and Basics classes ONLY. Heeled tap shoes are not allowed in any class. Hair must be pulled back away from the face. All flyaways and bangs must be pinned back.

tiny toes & combo classes: Dancers may wear their choice of a leotard and tights (with or without a skirt), or comfortable “movement-friendly” clothing. Ballet shoes should be leather or canvas ONLY, with leather or suede soles and an elastic strap across the arch. Slip on satin shoes without elastic are meant for dress up only – their soles slip off the foot too easily. If your ballet shoes have an adjustable drawstring, please tie the string in a double knot and cut off all excess at the base of the knot or secure the strings to the underside of the shoe with a piece of strong tape – this saves us a LOT of time in class by not having to re-tie shoes! Black tap shoes (patent leather style preferred) will be worn for Tap Combos. Leather ballet or jazz shoes may be worn for Jazz Combos. Jazz shoes or clean sneakers may be worn for Hip Hop Combos. There is no shoe color requirement for class, but those doing ballet in the spring recital will wear pink shoes, jazz, tap, & hip hop combos will wear black shoes.
